Mo' Money Mo' Problems

On July 21, 1997, the Notorious B.I.G. released the single called Mo Money Mo Problems. In the refrain, sung by Kelly Price, there is a verse which states, “…it's like the more money we come across, the more problems we see.” Is this the case for the Jamaican population? Would more money create more problems? Say what you think, because there is no right or wrong answer to these.

I'm no economics major or know anything about finances...but, from what I saw in "Life and Debt" I would have to say the song goes right on with it. I just seems that with everything that was tossed to Jamaica to "help" them out, ended up being detrimental to the country.

I would think that if Jamaica was going to receive monetary funding from outside sources, they have to be met with longevity in mind and also without all the ridiculous clauses and what you can and cannot do stipulations. Maybe that's just one point of view...I'm sure there's so much more I don't know about, but like I said in the previous post. Jamaica knows what they need to succeed, if you are to see the country grow and get out of this, you half to meet them half way or somewhere closer to where they have been meeting in the past.

Money makes the world go round, but money can also be the demise of people...in this case an entire country that suffers from the exact thing. Money is going everywhere else in the world, except Jamaica.
